Cloves
Color: Whole cloves should be reddish-brown to dark brown. Ground cloves will appear lighter brown.
Shape: Whole cloves are elongated with a rounded head and four pointed petals. Ground cloves have a fine powder consistency.
Size: Whole cloves should be between 10 and 15 mm in length.
Surface: Smooth and free from blemishes, cracks, or mold.
Cleanliness: Free from dirt, dust, stones, and other foreign matter.
