Darjeeling Tea is the only tea in the world to get protection under the Geographical Indication (GI) trademark. Darjeeling Tea is produced on certain tea estates within Darjeeling and Kalimpong districts of northern part of India. Premium Tea Grades are produced In Darjeeling like Black Tea, White Tea, Moonlight White Tea, Oolong Tea, Green Tea and speciality tea. Popular whole leaf grades are: Super Fine Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe (SFTGFOP), Super Fine Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe One (SFTGFOP1). Well sized Darjeeling Brokens with the essential first flush character. The broken leaf grade gives a stronger brew (STGBOP/TGBOP). Well sizes Darjeeling Fanning with good aroma (TGOF/GOF). The first flush characters are refreshing and energising like Fine Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe (FTGFOP), Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe (TGFOP).
